bad hair day?
no lah!
my boys were actually having their hair cut yesterday.
ali’s original hair has never been removed since his birthday. yes, we did plan to shave him bald during his last kenduri cukur jambul but unfortunately rambut2 ali berguguran dgn sndirinye till most ppl said, “xpayah cukur lah. sikit sgt rambutnye”.
ok, fine but then few months after, his hair showed unequal growth. sana pjg. sini pendek. sini pendek. sana pjg. xhensem plak jdnye. thus, we decided to shave him bald for d 1st time yesterday.
it was not an easy task. budak da reti bergerak. xreti nk dok diam. huh! takut TERluka jer dek pisau cukur.
tapi alhamdulillah. setel & tadaaaaaa….
…….ALI botak chin!
setel dgn ALI, UMAR plak amek turn dia.
he has short hair already but not that neat. due to his ‘geli2 pd bunyi mesin’ during his last hair cut day, rambut dia pun terpjg terpendek sana sini.
so, in order to make it fair n square for him & ALI, he has to go thru that session again. i wish to see him botak licin too tp chor n others kata xpayah. oklah. oklah, xyah botak licin. 😦
nway, agaknye sbb tgk ALI ok jer (though it was sgt2 susah nk suh budak kenit ni dok diam), UMAR pun sgt behave masa dimesinkn rambut dia tuh. xde plak dia nk geli2 sepjg acara tuh. elok diam jer!
so, tadaaaaa….
ada macam rupe upin ipin, dak?
hehehe. sng skek la ni. lps mandi xyah sibuk2 nk sikat ke ape dah. dpt plak tgh musim panas nie. elok bona botak2 hero2 nie.

this boy will turn 7mos on this coming wed. yg aku notice sejak dia lahir hingga skrg nie, setiap kali nk berlaku je peralihan bulan tuh, pasti! perangai dia jd a bit cranky compare to hari2 biasa.
sokmo la dia jd susah nk tido mlm. once da terjaga tuh, mulalah nk kena dodoikn balik. huh. bleh jd pening mak pak dia nie.
klu hari2 biasa, nk tido cukup mudah. penting susukn dia kenyang. gosok skek je blkg tuh, konpem! tido smpi pg esok. cuma jaga utk susu then tido blk dgn sndirinye.
bila dicomparekn ALI ngan UMAR, karakter dua hero ni mmg sgt berlainan. padanla pun dgn kata2 org, setiap anak tu dilahirkn berbeza karakter dan sifat2nye. tp sbb da terbiasa ngan UMAR yg sgt sng nk handle, skek sebyk ada rs ‘gerem’ pd ALI bila tiba hari2 beralih bulan nie. hehehe. xbaiknye ummie dia ni.
nway, utk ALI n UMAR, ummie syg sgt2 hero2 ummie nie. biarlah ragam mcmmana pun, u guys r still the best gift ummie n abah eva had.

FW: A Look Back! – Those were the days.
How did one survive growing up in the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s? We had no seatbelts, no airbags and sitting in the back of a truck was a treat. Our baby prams had the most gorgeous lead based colours and our cradles were just a piece of mom’s sari. No such thing as tamper proof bottle tops. Cycling was like a breath of fresh air. No safety helmets, knee pads or elbow pads, with plenty of cardboards between spokes to make it sound like a motorbike. When thirsty we only drank tap water, bottled water was still a mystery.
We kept busy collecting bits & pieces so we could build all sort of things and we were fearless on our bikes even when the brakes failed going downhill. We were showing off how tough we are, by how high we could climb trees & then jumping down..It was great fun. We could stay out to play for hours, as long as we got back before dark, in time for dinner. We walked to school, or sometimes we rode our bike. We had no mobile phones, but we always managed to find each other. How? No one knows?
We lost teeth, broke arms & legs, we got cuts and bruises and bl**dy noses, nobody complained as we had so much fun, it wasn’t anybody’s fault, only ours. We ate everything in sight, cakes, bread, chocolate, ice-cream, sweets, sugary drinks, yet, we stayed skinny by fooling around. And if one of us was lucky to find a 1 litre softdrink bottle we all had a swig from it & guess what? Nobody picked up any germs….
We did not have Play Stations, MP3, Nintendo’s, I-Pods, Video games, 99 Cable TV channels, Dish TV, DVD’s, Home Cinema, Mobile phones, Home Computers, Laptops, Chat-rooms, Internet, etc …. BUT, we had REAL FRIENDS!!!! We called on friends to come out to play, never rang the doorbell, just screamed from the balcony. We loved being let loose in the big bad world without bodyguards. We played with sticks and stones, played police, doctors and nurses, hide and seek, cricket games, marbles, football, Swimming, over and over again. When we failed our exams we were given a second chance by simply repeating the same grade without visiting psychiatrists, psychologists or counselors.
Such were the days. We had freedom, success, disappointments and responsibilities. .. Most of all, we learned to respect others.
Are YOU from that generation??
